About Carney Machinery

Since 1946 Carney has supplied the metal-working industry with new and used machine tools. During the 40's and 50's we were the U.S. distributor for Herbert, Archdale, Webster & Bennett and the B.S.A. group from England. During the 60's we imported new machinery from Germany, Czechoslovakia, and Eastern Europe. In the 80's we were the Eastern distributor for Summit Machine Tools, a wide range of new machine tools from China, Yugoslavia, Romania, and Italy.

Throughout these five decades we have sold all types of used metal working machinery, and liquidated and auctioned the assets of hundreds of U.S. and European manufacturers. We currently sell a wide range of both chipmaking and fabricating equipment, manual and CNC, from our 75,000 sq. ft. Wilmington, Delaware facility. Most of this equipment may be inspected under power. We also offer light repairs and cleaning and painting. Thanks to our five overhead cranes, up to 80 tons lifting capacity and 65' ceilings, we are able to handle any size of machine tool. Also, due to our proximity to major highways, Eastern ports and the Philadelphia Airport, we are a natural in the machine tool industry.

With over 600 machine tools in stock, we probably have the used machine tool that you are looking for. Most machines are sold F.O.B. truck(s) New York City; Long Island, N.Y.; Northern New Jersey; and Wilmington, Delaware.

In addition, our INTERNATIONAL ELECTRICAL SERVICE division specializes in electrical, electronic and mechanical repairs and installations of metalworking machine tools.
